ASC and HIFraser sign a six-year Collins Class support contract

An Australian valve manufacturer will keep supplying high- and low-pressure valves and on-board maintenance for the Collins Class fleet.

What happened

  • The six-year agreement is worth nearly A$40 million and extends a partnership that began in 1992.
  • HIFraser is also qualified to make valves and fittings for Virginia Class submarines through ASC’s vendor qualification program.
  • The signing took place at ASC’s Osborne site in South Australia.

Why it matters

Collins Class sustainment runs on long-term, qualified Australian suppliers. Clean, documented fluid systems are what keeps those valves and the systems behind them in service.
