Macquarie’s IC3 Super West tops out in Macquarie Park

A 47 MW facility designed for very high rack densities, combining air and direct-to-chip liquid cooling.

What happened

  • The third facility on Macquarie Data Centres’ Macquarie Park campus, part of a wider 200 MW Sydney plan.
  • The first stage, about A$350 million, delivers the core and shell and 6 MW of fitted IT load.
  • Opening was scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.

Why it matters

Direct-to-chip cooling brings the technology cooling loop into every new fit-out, and every fit-out needs its loop clean before the hardware goes on.
