Our requirements
- Everyone must arrive and remain fit for work: not impaired by alcohol, drugs, medication or fatigue.
- Workers must tell their supervisor, in confidence, about medication that may affect their ability to work safely.
- Testing may be carried out where a customer site requires it, or where there is reasonable cause.
- Working hours, travel and breaks are planned to manage fatigue.
- Anyone who is unfit for work will be stood down safely and supported.
We support people who seek help with alcohol or drug problems before they become a safety issue.
This policy applies to all SI Critical Systems employees, contractors and subcontractors. It is reviewed annually, and after any significant incident or change.
